Most volunteer departments raise money the same way every year. A jar at the pancake breakfast, a raffle, a box of shirts somebody ordered and now keeps in a garage. It works, it just costs the committee every weekend it runs.
You'll build a donation form in the department's own colours, set it up for one time and recurring giving, and open a print on demand store so branded merchandise ships without your department carrying stock. You finish with two funding routes that keep working between events.
